Dr. Hector Meléndez González 

Dr. Héctor J. Meléndez specializes in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. He is specifically interested in the management of infected prosthetics, bone infections, mycobacterial and fungal infections.

​Dr. Meléndez is certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his doctoral degree from the Ponce School of Medicine, and completed the specialty of internal medicine at the San Juan Veterans Hospital also he completed his training in Infectious Diseases at the Adult University Hospital of the Medical Sciences Campus. He is also an active member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American College of Physicians.
